I am an enthusiastic supporter of Collingwood’s rich and varied arts scene.

I love that our community enjoys local art, concerts, festivals, studios, galleries, fairs, cinemas, community theatre and our parks. We can have fun and experience new things too.

The economic benefits of having a vibrant arts and culture sector is well known. Cultural industries create job growth and attract visitors, bring in skilled workers and create spin-off businesses.

As a volunteer in the arts community:

  • I am a current member of the Board of the Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts.
  • I am a current member of the Board of the Institute of Southern Georgian Bay – as a co-chair of the Arts & Culture section.
  • I am the Chair of the Blue Mountain Public Art Committee.
  • I am a past member of the Board and Chair of The Purple Hills Arts and Heritage Society. We were honoured by On the Bay magazine during my tenure as “Grass Root Heroes.”

As a voice for the future of Collingwood I will work for the enhanced support of our arts and culture community.
